My name is Lydia O. Boyd and I am an experienced breastfeeding mother who now works with families who are expecting or are currently breastfeeding.  I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Blactation Educator (CBE) - Expert, Certified Lactation Educator (CLE), Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (BPC), and Doula with multiple years of experience in supporting birthing and breastfeeding families.

Breastfeeding for me started with the delivery of my one and only son at 28 weeks gestation on a Sunday afternoon in 1996. I have used every gadget that was available to me at that time to get my milk into my precious miracle baby. I have experienced the highs and the lows of breastfeeding from being concerned about my milk supply and overcoming them with the help of herbal supplements to having latch problems and being told that my milk was not enough for my baby and his unique needs; which I now know was not correct. Now on this side of motherhood, I have dedicated my life to supporting families who want support while birthing their babies, who are considering breastfeeding, and/or are breastfeeding their babies.
